Obituary for Henry Hugh White Jr.
Henry Hugh White Jr., 87 of Eatonton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and lived in Eatonton since 1986. Henry was an Air Force Veteran of World War II having served in China as well as India. After discharge from the Air Force he worked for Lockheed as a supervisor and flight engineer. He retired from Lockheed after 35 years. Henry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eatonton, a lifetime member of VFW post # 6686, and also a member of the Harmony Community Association. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry Hugh White Sr. and Ila Tollison White, and son Michael White. Henry is survived by his wife of 19 years Barbara Dennis White, daughters: Cindy Michael of Buckhead and Tina Groome of Dallas, Ga. Step children: Denny Green of Milledgeville, Debra Jackson of Gray, Mark Green of Milledgeville, and Al Switzer of Jonesboro, also a brother John E. White of Hoschton, Georgia, 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 22nd at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church in the Great Hall. Mr. WhiteÂ’s memorial service will follow in the Historical Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church at 11 AM. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel has charge of arrangements.
