Obituary for Marion Rogers
M.F. Rogers Jr., 87, of Eatonton passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on April 18, 1928 to the late Marion Francis Rogers, Sr. and Eula Elizabeth Thompson Rogers. M.F. was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years Nola Key Rogers, and son Roger Ross Rogers. He was a police officer for the city of Eatonton, and retired from the Putnam County Bus Garage where he was Foreman of the Maintenance Department. The visitation will be on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church at 1 PM, followed by the service at 2 PM. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery after the service. He is survived by his children Eula Allen & husband Wiley of Milledgeville, Diane Roberts & husband Randy, of Eatonton, Frances Davis & husband Phillip, of Marion, NC, Frank Rogers & wife Amy, of Eatonton, daughter in law, Nancy Rogers of Hawkinsville, GA, siblings, Evelyn Wise, Frank Rogers, Linda Batchelor, also survived by numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
