Obituary for Ruby Geanette Collis
Ruby Collis of Eatonton passed away at her residence on Monday, July 27, 2015. Ruby was born on March 29, 1928 to the late Goss Power and Annie Mae Redd Power. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Cecil Collis. Ruby was the last surviving child of 9 brothers and 4 sisters. She has lived in Putnam County for the last 33 years. Mr. & Mrs. Collis owned and operated Collis Motel & Restaurant and in later years owned Sharons Unique Design Florist. The visitation will be on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. The service will be on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Lone Oak Baptist church at 4 PM, burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. She is survived by her children Terry Collis & wife Bobbie, Anthony Collis & wife Kathy, Alan Collis & wife Susan, Sharon Collis, grandchildren Lynn Carpenter, Kristy Hightower & husband Ron, Michael Lewis & wife Tina, Amy Collis , Kevin Collis & wife Cindy, Jennifer Wolcik & husband Chris, Ashley Collis, Christopher Collis , Laura Collis, also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
