Obituary for Sean Anthony Brown
On October 06, 2017, Heaven Gained an Angel. Sean Anthony Brown entered the gates of his Heavenly Home.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 6 to 8 PM. The service will be at Harmony Baptist Church on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 12 PM, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Sean was born on September 21, 1969 in Alabama to Sandra and Michael Brown. Sean made Eatonton his home13 years ago when he married Gay Lankford. They built a log cabin and made it home. Sean and Gay shared their home with their nephew, Hunter Lankford, three dogs and a cat.
Sean was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Brown.
Sean is survived by Gay Lankford (Wife). Emily Brown of Tennessee (Daughter), Tyler Brown of Augusta, Georgia (Son and his wife, Brittney), Michael Brown of Alabama (Father), Mindy Wyatt of Alabama (Sister), Michelle Brown of Idaho (Sister), Bonnie McClain and Lydia McClain of Washington State (Sisters). Katie Corty (Step-Daughter), her husband, Marvin, and their son, Landon) of Newnan, Georgia. Cathy Lankford Harwood (Sister-in Law), Darrell Harwood (Brother-in-Law), Michael Lankford (Brother-in-Law), Virginia Lankford (Mother-in-Law), Hunter Lankford, Clay Wyatt, Scott McCain, Morgan McCain (Nephews), Maddie Lankford, Heather Wyatt (Nieces).
He was always up to shenanigans involving one crazy idea after the other. (Some of them worked.) He was a great storyteller. His laugh was infectious. He always had a smile on his face. He lived life his way, and didn’t apologize for it. It was both admirable and sometimes……infuriating.
Strangers quickly became friends; Friends quickly became family. From the old neighborhood, to extended and blended, all were loved. He would get up at midnight to change a tire or give you a ride. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, and he had an answer for almost any problem. He was the guy you called.
Sean loved his job as a Crane Technician; he was good at it. He was never on time, but
“when you know what Sean knows, you can be a little late”. (It helps that they padded his appointments.) Sean had a fascination for airplanes and spent a lot of his free time working
and playing around with his two planes.
He was a very hard worker, a good mentor, and a great friend.
Most of all, Sean love his family and all he called family. He was a good father to all who needed one, a brother to all he met, and the most kindhearted, genuine person who will be forever missed by all who knew him. To know Sean was to Love Him.
Sean, you have earned your wings. Go enjoy Heaven. Sit at the Master’s Feet.
Play in the clouds. And we will all play together in the River Jordan before long.
In the meantime, FLY HIGH.
