Edward (Ed) Alan Williams, 65, of Eatonton, GA, passed away peacefully in his home on September 6, 2022.
Ed was born on November 19, 1956 to Raymond and Marjorie Williams in Howell, Michigan. He grew up surrounded by a large extended family and his interests included cars, music and sports. He was drawn to the medical field after working as a part-time hospital transport at the age of 15. He graduated from Howell High School in 1974 And continued a career in medicine working his way up to being an X-ray, ultrasound and nuclear medicine technician. After 30 years in healthcare, Ed transitioned to the IT field. He was a self-taught computer expert and he put his skills to use at two lumber and contractor supply companies for the remainder of his working life. This career path led him to new opportunities in Georgia in 2006.
After retiring in 2019, Ed and his wife Leta renovated a home on Lake Sinclair and moved there full-time. Ed and Leta raised their children on Lake Victoria in Michigan and Ed was grateful for the chance to make new lake memories with his grandchildren.
