Obituary for Nancy Lee Winfield
Nancy Lee Winfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday July 13, 2016 Nancy and her husband, Larry, moved to the beautiful Lake Country of Eatonton, Ga. In 2006, having lived in central New York for most of their lives. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise (Lawrence) Holcomb. Nancy graduated from McGraw Central School in 1963 and Champlain College in Burlington Vt. In 1965. After raising her family of eight children , she retired from her position as High School Secretary at McGraw Central High School. Nancy’s greatest love was serving others. She raised her family as well as serving faithfully at her local church in NY in many capacities. Presently Nancy was a member of the Abundant Life Word Fellowship. She served as leader of the women’s group, prayer group, Praise and Worship Team and hostess for all church activities. Along with her sister in Christ, Mildred Moss, she founded Project Hope a ministry of the Word of Faith Ministries, Inc. That ministry provide food, clothing and love to those in need in the Eatonton area. Many were blessed with her love for cooking and caring. No one went without if she could provide for their needs. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry as well as her eight children: Kent (Lee) Winfield of OK, Chad (Michelle) Winfield of NY, Noel (John) Bullock of NC, Kara Fuller of Eatonton, Dana (Liz) Winfield of NY, Robb (Amy) Winfield of OK , Jody Winfield of Eatonton, and Ryan Winfield of Athens, GA. She was the proud Grandmother of 24. Nancy is also survived by her sister, Shirley Glazier of NY and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and a brother Lawrence M. Holcomb. Funeral Service with be held at the Abundant Life Word Fellowship on Rt. 441 at 3:00 PM on Sunday July 17, 2016. The family will be present to receive friends from 5-7pm on Saturday July 16, at the church. The family has requested that donations can be made to Project Hope, C/O Word of Faith Ministries, P.O. Box 4676, Eatonton, Ga. 31024 in her memory. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for family and friends in Dryden, New York at a date to be announced.
