Obituary for Wayne Steven Black
Wayne Steven Black, 66, of Eatonton passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. He was born in Eatonton, Ga., to the late Jesse T. Black and Pauline Huey Black Howard. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel Allen and brother Jesse T. Black, Jr. He worked at Enterprise Aluminum Co. until it closed, and he went to work for Horton Homes, where he worked for 28yrs. Steve then worked for the Putnam County Commissioners until his health failed. He loved to fish and hunt, but mostly loved his family and friends. He would help anyone in need.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020,
from 5-7pm, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel.
The service will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 11 AM
at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel.
Steve is survived by his wife of 46yrs., Brenda Black, three children Susan Shores(Wayne), of Eden, Md., Amanda Black(Dennis) of Eatonton and Jason Black(Elizabeth) of Eatonton. He also has four grandchildren, Jacob, Cody and Tristen Brock all of Md., and Jake Black of Vidalia, Ga, two great grandchildren Lucus and Kaleb both of Md.
He will be greatly missed.
