Obituary for Vera Cranford
Vera Cranford 84, of Eatonton, passed away at her residence on Monday, December 31, 2012. Mrs. Cranford was a member of Marshall Memorial Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress and quilter, sewing for many friends and family members. Vera was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing and canning her own vegetables. She was a loving homemaker for most of her life. Mrs. Cranford was preceded in death by her parents Carlton and Anna Belle Vaughn Harper, her husband Harrison Pate Larman and second husband Norman Cranford. Also preceded in death by her siblings: Lottie Chalker, Charles Harper, Mary Chapman, Myrtle Lawrence, Francis Bloodworth and James Harper. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3rd at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 to 7 PM. The service will be on Friday Jan.4th at First United Methodist Church (Historic Sanctuary) at 11 AM, burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Godfrey. Vera is survived by her daughters: Ann Larman McLeroy & husband Robert, Harriet Larman Carnes & husband Charlie of Eatonton, Georgia, Jean Cranford Luebke & husband Richard of Eldersburg, Maryland. Sisters: Mae Belle Batchelor, Ida Mae Ramsey and Eva Winslette. Grandchildren: Robert William McLeroy & wife Jackie, Chad Harrison McLeroy, Justin Carnes & wife Melissa, Ivy Carnes, Annabelle Luebke, Thomas Luebke. Great Grandchildren: Kylie Brooke Carnes and Jillian Monroe McLeroy. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
