Obituary for Velma Stowe
Velma Stowe 83 formally of Eatonton passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at Pruitt Health of Toomsboro following an extended illness. Velma was born in Eatonton on February 23, 1932. Velma enjoyed crocheting, reading the newspapers and cooking for her family. She enjoyed her time at Pruitt Health and spent many happy days there with the staff and residents who were just like part of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Mae Knowles, husband Curtis L. Stowe and son Gene Stowe. The visitation will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 7 to 9 PM. The service will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 1 PM. Interment will be at Eatonton Memorial Park following the service. Velma is survived by her sons Mike Stowe & wife Robin of Eatonton, Daryl Stowe & wife Sonia of Irwinton, daughters Katherine Reynolds & husband Danny of Gray, Judy Knight & husband Edward of Eatonton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
