Obituary for Steve Thomas
Steve Thomas, 72 of Eatonton passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at his residence. Steve was born on October 8, 1949 in Toccoa, Ga. to the late Lynell Leslie and Vella Ramey Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Thomas and son Madrid Thomas. Steve spent his leisure time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time with horses. He especially loved time he spent with family at get togethers. A visitation is planned for Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 1 to 2 PM followed by a service at 2 PM. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery after the service. Steve is survived by his children Willard Thomas, Rodney Thomas (Dodie), Amy Banks (Scott), grandchildren Lee Okelley (Gracie), Will Okelley (Katy), Maddie Thomas, Mason Thomas, great grandchildren Aiden OKelley, Abagail Okelley, brothers Julian Thomas (Melvy), Billy Thomas (Barbara), sisters, Peggy Lewallen, Gay Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
