Obituary for Sandra 'Sandy' Kay Berkner
Sandra Kay Berkner of Eatonton, GA passed away on Sunday, August 23. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mike Berkner, her two children, Heather and Kevin, her mother Emma Parker, her brother Johnny Parker, two grandsons, and numerous other loved ones. It is impossible to put into words the immense love and joy that Sandy brought to everyone she knew. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter and sister, and doting Nana. She was a devoted member of Lakeside Community Church and devoted servant of the Lord. Her love for others was her driving force in life and those who are left behind are fortunate enough to carry a little bit of that love with them always. Sandy's celebration of life will be on Saturday, August 29 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. There will be a receiving of friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm, followed by a private service for the immediate family. We respectfully ask all attendees to wear masks. Sandy was a cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude's Cancer Research center at www.stjude.org.
