Sandra Marshan Smith of Shady Dale, GA passed away on May 29th, 2023. She was born on May 21st, 1951 in Fort Walton Beach, FL to the late Leonard and Adell Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Bud and Cora Windham, sisters Vonciel Cook, Carol Aldrich, Wanda Sue Donovan, Jean Walker and her son Travis Alford. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She worked many jobs in Eatonton, the school lunch room, Haban, Huddle House, Ingles, Walmart in Covington. She was a kind and caring person, who never met a stranger, she had numerous friends especially at the Huddle House where she never missed too many days eating breakfast with her husband Charles, sister Betty Jo and brother-in-law Richard and her other friends who often carried her there. Her favorite thing was shopping for clothes, spending time with her loving family and of course eating out! Sandra loved her family dearly and never failed to let them know. Sandra and Charles are members at Providence Baptist Church in Shady Dale, where they have been attending for many years. Visitation will be on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11 am at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, service will be at 1 pm at Provident Baptist Church with Pastor Edd Westbrook officiating. Sandra is survived by her husband Charles Smith, sisters Annell Lee, Linda Patrick (Robert), Betty Jo Batchelor (Richard), children Jody Alford (Shelly), Joanne Kemp (Robbie), Charles Daniel Smith (Jimmy Lynn), grandchildren Stevie Lee Alford, Tray Alford, Evie Alford, great grandchildren Nalah Paige, MJ, JJ, Hunter Braylan, Christopher Connell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Patel, Nancy, Cindy, Anna and all who took special care of Sandra during her stay in ICU at Piedmont Hospital in Covington. Also a special thank you to Pastor Edd Westbrook for being with the family at their time of need,
