Obituary for Sandra Marie O'Steen
Sandra Mains O’Steen, 69, of Eatonton passed away at her residence on Friday, January 1, 2016. She was born in Elmira, New York on August 29, 1946 to the late John B. Mains and the late Edna Lindstrom Mains. Sandra has lived in Eatonton since 1956 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Sandra was a teacher for The Putnam County Board of Education, retiring two years ago after teaching for 42 years. A visitation will be held at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 1 to 2:30 PM Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Jerry ‘Zeke’ O’Steen, son Will O’Steen & wife deLacy, grandson Bowen Thomas O’Steen, sisters Betty Mains O’Steen, Karen Mains Dixon, brother-in-law Michael Trepanier, nieces Gina O’Steen Chambers, Sherri Roberts Tarte, Shannon Roberts Williams, Marti O’Steen Foster, Kalli Ryan Trepanier, nephews Darrell O’ Steen and Jonathan Trepanier. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Susan B. Komen for the Cure at ww5.komen.org or to the American Cancer Society at www. cancer.org in her memory.
