Obituary for Sam Dennis McLeroy
Sam Dennis McLeroy 93 passed away on Thursday, August 14th.
He was born in Eatonton on May 11, 1921 to the late Ed Brown McLeroy and the late Annie Kate Bustin McLeroy. Sam was a member of Concord Church, served in the United States Army/Air Force during World War II, was a member of the Shriners Club, past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign War post #6686 of Eatonton. Visitation will be at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Saturday, August 16th from 5 to7 PM. Services will be at First United Methodist Church (new sanctuary) on Sunday, August 17th at 3 PM. Burial will follow the service at the McLeroy Family Cemetery with full military honors.
Sam is survived by his Daughter Ann Bryant of Eatonton, Son Dennis Walker McLeroy of Roswell, Grandchildren Margaret McLeroy, Wade Bryant and Chris Bryant, 5 Great grandchildren and his loving companion Sandra Fowler.
