The world lost a fun-loving competitor in Randy Fisher. Whether it was bass fishing, pickleball, tennis, or any other sport, he truly loved a good
competition. He was also one of the most kind and helpful people you could ever meet, finding great joy in teaching others new skills.
Randy was born in San Francisco on June 10, 1956, to Turl and Joyce Fisher. He attended high school at Jefferson High School where he met Carolyn. They married in 1977 and remained inseparable until his passing. In 1982, they moved to Nebraska to raise their daughters.
After moving to Nebraska, Randy found a true passion for bass fishing. He became a dedicated tournament fisherman, entering as many competitions as his work and home life would allow. When he wasn’t on the lake, he was playing and teaching pickleball. It became a significant part of his life, and he loved challenging himself in various tournaments. When he wasn't on an outdoor adventure, he was cheering for the San Francisco 49ers; a diehard fan since attending his first game at age nine.
Randy worked for Eakes for 39 years and began his retirement adventures the very next day. He traveled with his daughter, Elizabeth, to see the 49ers play in various stadiums across the country. He and Carolyn also traveled frequently to Denver to visit his youngest daughter, Shannon, her husband, and his beloved grandchildren. He cherished every opportunity to help his daughters with house projects. In 2025, they moved to Georgia to fulfill his retirement dream of living in a house on a bass lake.
Randy passed away on June 18th, shortly after a wonderful morning spent playing pickleball.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his two daughters, Elizabeth and Shannon, son-in-law Christopher; and his three grandchildren, Ainsley, Callie, and Reece. He also leaves behind his four siblings, Sally, Ben, Ken, and Chris. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terry.
