Obituary for Philip Daniel Nuckolls
Philip “Phil” Daniel Nuckolls born on May 17, 1952 passed away on November 11, 2021 with his wife and children by his side. Phil was married to the love of his life, Janna, for 35 years. He was a proud American, an avid and active member of the NRA and Elk’s Lodge, and an even bigger University of Georgia Bulldogs fan. He was the owner of Cycle World of Athens for over 40 years. Retiring to life as a farmer, Farmer Phil was a racer at heart. Phil Nuckolls would race on anything, anytime, anywhere. There was no race he would turn down or competition he couldn’t compete in. He loved to go fast. He lived every moment of life to the fullest as a child at heart. He was a smart businessman who believed in never growing up and that there is nothing more masculine than telling your family and friends that you love them. He wore his heart on his sleeve; if you knew him you knew he loved you because he was never afraid to express his feelings. He was the life of the party and lit up any room. To know Phil was to know someone with a zest for life, adventure, and love. Phil is survived by his loving wife Janna; father, Dan; along with his younger brother, Jim (Ann), his children April, Shelly (Jay), Kandi (Brian) and Rich (Tracy), along with uncles, aunts, cousins, and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Betty Nuckolls. There will be a Celebration of Life for Philip Nuckolls on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 2pm at The Waterworks Building 457B East Sumter St, Eatonton, GA 31024. This event is open to any family and friends that wish to attend. “I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up”- Phil Nuckolls
