Obituary for Patricia Ann Martinez
Patricia Ann Massey Martinez was born in Eatonton, Georgia, on April 14, 1937, to the late Paul Augustus and Lucy Evelyn Harper Massey. She has lived in the Atlanta area and most recently in Conyers, Georgia, for most of her adult life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eatonton, Georgia for years and continued to attend the First United Methodist Church in Conyers, Georgia. She retired many years ago from WR Grace Company, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. Patricia loved her family and loved to socialize with her friends. She was full of laughter and always had that distinguished laughter when having fun and always had a smile on her face. She also was the “friend” that always volunteered to help out her friends; whether it be taking them to the doctor, taking them to the grocery store, or just sitting with them during times of need. Patricia was always that “caring” and “go-to friend” we all love and need in our lives. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest J. Martinez and a step-daughter, Sharon A. Smith. She is survived by three sisters, Barbara Reese, Peggy Kirk, and Betty Gentry, all of Eatonton, Georgia. She is also survived a step-daughter, Felicia Huey of Roanoke, Alabama, three nieces and two nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2pm with Rev. Tim Walden officiating.
