Obituary for Myrna Collis Meadows Pope
Myrna Pope of Eatonton passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015. She was born on August 26, 1939 to the late Dennis Nelson Collis and the late Annie Love Davis Collis. Myrna was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfred (Fred) Johnny Meadows Jr., sister Ruby Califf, brothers Alvin, Cecil, H.T., Glynn and Donald Collis. She was a lifelong member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. Caring for her family, cooking, reading, gardening, and traveling were her greatest delights. The visitation will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 1 to 2:30 PM. The service will be at Lone Oak Baptist Church at 3 PM, officiated by Rev. Terry Sark and Rev. A.M. Samples burial will follow at the church cemetery. Myrna is survived by her husband Lonnie Pope, children Lucy Meadows Brown, Alfred Johnny Meadows III(Alicia Lynn), Michael Troy Meadows, Lisa Meadows Manley(Emory Van II), niece “little sister” Annelle (Terry) Sark and family, Mike Welch (Tammy), Margaret Pope Morris,(Frank), Lonnie W. Pope Jr.(Jamie), Bobbie Jean Collins(Lance), grandchildren Jason Brown(Lyn), Will Brown, A.J. Meadows, Addy Meadows, Jaynie Meadows, Amanda Meadows, Emory Van Manley III(Lauren Taylor), Kiernan Manley Pinkerton(Breck Edward), Gavin Thomas Manley, Garrett Clements Manley Sr., (Brittany Finnan), Lucas Morris, Tristen Pope, Skyler McKnight, Ellen Jenkins, Jordanna Pope, great grandchildren Quinton Dant, Julianna Dant, Wylder Manley Pinkerton, Breck ’Brecken’ Edward Pinkerton, Garrett ‘Rett’ Clements Manley Jr., Lynnie Mae Benton Manley.
