Maxine Kitchens Godin 91, of Eatonton passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Maxine was born in Covington, Georgia on November 23, 1934 to the late Fred and Mary Louise Kitchens.
Maxine was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Eatonton.
She was very involved with various church programs such as Sunday School Classes and Vacation Bible School in years passed.
Maxine had a special place in her heart for all animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dr. Richard Godin of 35 years and her son, Scott Godin.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Neal) Doty of Eatonton,
Granddaughters, Paige (Michael) Carson of Savannah, Jennifer (Chance)
Bridges of Warner Robins, great grandchildren, Hayes and Berkeley Carson.
Maxine will be buried in South View Cemetery in Covington, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers the family requested donations to Putnam Christian Outreach or the First Baptist Church of Eatonton in Maxine's Memory.
