Obituary for Mary Parham
Mary Lexie Bridges Parham 85, of Eatonton, Georgia entered into eternal rest Monday, January 31, 2011 at Eatonton Health Care & Rehabilitation after an extended illness. She was born in Davisboro, Ga. On July 7, 1925 to the late Nathaniel & Mattie Bridges. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Emory William Parham Sr., a daughter Donna Kay Parham, her parents Nathaniel & Mattie Bridges and her brother Ben Calvin “Pat” Bridges. Mattie retired from Central State Hospital, Veteran Division Milledgeville, Ga. in 1985. She was a long time member of Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was lovingly called Nanny by all her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery and crocheting. Survivors include her sister Helen Osborne of Senoia, Ga. Daughter Marie Register & husband Jimmie, of Eatonton, Sons William Parham & wife Lola of Martinez, Ga. Douglas Parham & wife Judy of Eatonton, Roger Parham & wife Carol of Eatonton, James Anthony Parham & wife Kathy of Eatonton, and Keith Parham & wife Vivian of Eatonton. 18 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family can be contacted at 466 Pea Ridge Road, Eatonton, Ga. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 6 to 8 PM. Service on Thursday, February, 3, 2011 at Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2 PM Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
