Obituary for Martha Josephine Meade
Martha Josephine Meade passed away on June 19, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Meade was born on March 16, 1932 in Cedar Bluff, Alabama to the late Preston Olen Witt and Willie Ethel Mobbs Witt. She was also preceded in death by her son Mike Meade. She had been living in Eatonton since 1974 and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Eatonton. Mrs. Meade enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 5-7pm. The service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at 2 pm at The First Baptist Church of Eatonton and burial will follow in Eatonton Memorial Park. She is survived by her loving husband Tommy Meade of Eatonton, three children Frank Meade of Concord, N.C., Candace(Ty) Cooper of Mooresville, NC., and Ben(Carmen) Meade of Eatonton. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Cage(Katie) Meade of Urbana, Ar., Kelly (Lucas) Sawyer of Charleston SC., , Kirstie Cooper, Christian Cooper and Cameron Cooper all of Mooresville, N.C., Addie Meade, Aaron Meade and Chase Meade of Eatonton Ga, and 1 great grandchild Cooper Meade of Urbana, Ar. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Eatonton.
