Obituary for Lois Meeks
Lois Green Meeks, 92, of Eatonton, passed away at Grace Senior Living on October 28, 2018. Lois was born on her grandparents’ farm near Nicholls, Georgia on August 11, 1926 to Maime Roberts Green and James W. Green. She was preceded in death by Robert Lamar Meeks, Sr. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, and gardening. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Eatonton at 1pm followed by a service at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Lois is survived by her children Madge Cunningham (Brent), Nan Meeks (Alan Krieger), Robert Lamar Meeks, Jr, Mimi Meeks (Magdalena Manriquez), her grandchildren Merrie Griffith Martin (Jim), Katie Griffith Kilgore (Micah), Janie Lois Gili (Joe), Florrie Cunningham Manning (Jeremy), Abigail Paige Cunningham, and six great grandchildren.
