Obituary for Julie Holder
Julie Norton Holder, 54, of Eatonton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, May 14, 2022. A service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Eatonton on Sunday, May 22. Visitation will begin at 2:00 followed by a memorial service at 3:00.
Julie was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on February 19, 1968 where her father was serving in the United States Air Force. The family moved to Eatonton in August of 1968. She graduated from Gatewood Schools in 1986 then attended the niversity of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She later attended the Medical Center of Central Georgia Radiology School, furthering her education specializing in sonography. Julie worked most of her career as a sonographer at the OBGYN clinic at Anderson Health Center in Macon, Georgia.
Julie’s life has made a profound impact upon her family and friends. She had a genuine way of making everyone she encountered feel like they were special to her. People commonly say that she was the kindest person they have ever known and that she had a beautiful soul. She adored her entire family, worked hard and loved to travel, especially to the beach. She loved music and attending live concerts. Julie was a fearless dependable friend with an impeccable sense of humor and a magnetic smile. She was a wise woman of God and for that her family and friends find much comfort knowing they will be with her again one day. She will be greatly missed and always loved.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years Kenneth Pat Holder. Children, Cline Wooten of Savannah, Georgia, Colin Wooten, Patrick Holder of Dunwoody, Georgia, and Peyton Holder; her parents James (Kathy) Norton of Gainesville, Georgia and Margery Knowles; siblings Melissa (Aaron) Maune of Stuttgart, Germany; Laura (Mark) Cheshire; Kerry (Chris) Puckett of Prattville, AL; Janna (Michael) Amato of Fletcher, North Carolina; Ken (Mark) Norton of Gainesville, Georgia; Kate Norton of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
