Obituary for John Anthony Clark
John Anthony Clark, Sr., 82, of Eatonton passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 26, 2021. John was born on August 7, 1938 to the late Alton Brooks Clark and Essie Morrison Clark. He was an avid bowler who bowled 3 perfect 300 games. John enjoyed fishing and was a skilled craftsman who created many lasting treasures for his family. He also spent 8 years volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Eatonton. John retired from the federal government in 1994 after spending over 30 years in the US Comptroller's Office. He graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. He and Jo Ann retired to Lake Oconee and pursued community work, church activities, traveling, and enjoying life's blessings. A visitation is planned for Thursday April 29th at Crossroads Baptist Church at 10:30 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. John is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Clark, son John Anthony (Tony) Clark, Jr. (Sherry Ann) of Cartersville, step-daughters Mary Hall and Sandy Gibson, grandchildren Jayme Wheeler, Devin Clark, step-grandchildren Tabitha Stell, David Stell, Abigail Gibson, Kyle Wheeler, Nicholas Wheeler, along with four great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Millie Clark. John will be greatly missed by many people especially his loving wife Jo Ann and his family.
