Obituary for Joe Calhoun Parham
Joseph Parham 96 of Eatonton passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Joe as he was known by everyone who knew him was born in Eatonton on December 8, 1917 to the late Robert Parham and the late Leila Mae Bullington Parham. Joe lived in Eatonton for all of his life and was a member of Mt Ararat Methodist Church. In 1957 he married Polly Vining and they continued to live in Eatonton. He loved Georgia Tech football, playing baseball, fishing and did all kinds of Gardening. The visitation will be on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 4 to 6 PM. The services will be at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 3 PM, burial will follow after the service at Mt. Ararat church cemetery. He is survived by his wife Polly Parham, Children Jackie Winslette, Leon (Jeannie) Parham, Kenneth (Alicia) Parham, Mike (Lee) Parham all of Eatonton, sister Sallie Key of Jacksonville,Florida, he is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made to Mt. Ararat Methodist Church in his memory.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
