Obituary for Jesse Matthew Davis Sr.
Jesse Davis Sr. 55, of Haddock, Ga. passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Jesse was born in Toccoa, Ga. to the late John B. and Annie Holcomb Davis. He had lived in Jones Co., Ga for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting but his passion was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his half brother Joe Davis.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarksville, Ga. service will be officiated by Levi Nix.
He is survived by his children Jesse (Amanda) Davis of Eatonton, Kyle (Megan) Davis of Monticello, and Amber (David) Marshall of Macon, also his sisters Helen (Olen) Simmons of Mt. Airy, Ga., Jane (Mark) Huneycutt of Albemarle, N.C., Ann (Darryl) Harrison of Cornelia, Ga., brothers John(Dinah) Davis of Hayesville, N.C., Don Davis of Eatonton and Mark Davis, Sr. of Haddock, Ga. He is also survived by his half sisters Linda (James) Garrett of Clarksville, Ga., Debbie (Lamar) Whitfield of Clarksville, Ga. and Ruby (Johnny) Turner of Raleigh, N.C. and his half brother Ross(Lee) Davis of Clarksville, Ga., his step grandchildren Tyler and Jayden Mathis and Hunter Fullmore, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vining Ivy Hill Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
