Obituary for Janice Humphries
Janice Clackum Humphries, 61, of Columbia, SC joined her husband, Lynwood R. Humphries Sr., for eternal bliss on December 27, 2015. Janice was born in Marietta, GA on March 2, 1954 to loving parents James and Betty Clackum. She was voted ‘most wittiest’ of her 1972 graduating class at North Cobb High School. Janice had a loving and generous heart, exemplifying her zeal for life. Described as friendly and kind, always giving to others, and having an infectious laugh that could make you smile no matter how you felt; Janice lived life to the fullest leaving us with many wonderful memories. She had worked alongside her husband, as the bookkeeper at Humphries Automatic Transmission & General Auto Repair as well as Humphries All Pro Auto Parts. She also spent a few years working for the Food Max Grocery Chain. Janice is survived by her mother, Betty Clackum, brothers, Dolye and Chris Clackum; sons, Lynwood (Deanna) and Matthew Humphries; daughter, Elizabeth Gebreamlak (Wondesen); grandchildren Sebastian and Sabrina Humphries, Joseph and Jaxon Humphries, lifelong friend Teresa Tarpley (Jim) and numerous childhood friends she adored. The visitation will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 1 to 3 PM followed by a service at 3 PM, burial will be at Baldwin Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville following the service. Flowers may be sent to Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. In honor of her giving heart, helping children in need, donations can be made to Never Too Late, 564 Hidden Creek, Monticello, GA 30164.
