Obituary for James Vernon Powers

James Vernon Powers 86 of Tifton passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born in Bostick, GA on December 2, 1934 to the late Foster and Bessie Anderson Powers. James was a veteran of the United States Army; in his spare time when he wasn’t spending time with his loving family he enjoyed hunting and fishing. The visitation will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, Eatonton from 6 to 8 PM. The service will be on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Freedom Worship Center, Greensboro, at 12 Noon followed by burial at Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery, Monroe.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years Annie Marie Powers,
Sons Vernon Lynn (Debbie) Powers, James David (Kim) Powers, Ken Martin Powers, grandchildren Jamie, Christopher, Matthew, Brittany, Brandon, Harley, Lacirae and Derrick Powers, and eleven great grandchildren.
