Obituary for James Emmett Daniel
Mr. James Emmett Daniel, 85, of Eatonton, Ga., passed away on March 15, 2017. Mr. Emmett was born in Bleckley Co. on April 5, 1931 to the late Jesse Daniels and Julia Barrs Daniels. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a part of the Chosin Reservoir Conflict. Mr. Daniel was the owner/operator of Dairy Queen and later worked in purchasing with the City of Eatonton, where he retired in 2004. He enjoyed traveling but loved spending quality time with his family. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carol Daniel and his daughter Susan Renee Daniel. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Bob Daniels, Jesse Daniels, Billy Daniels, Ralph Daniels, Harold Daniels, as well as his sisters Annis Dean, Elizabeth NeSmith, Sallie Mae Lassiter and Inez Pipkin and his wife of 10yrs. Nell Crawley Daniel. A visitation will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5- 6:30pm. A service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11am., in the chapel at Macon Memorial Park, and burial will follow in the cemetery. He is survived by his sons Ronnie (Laura) Daniel of Forsyth, Ricky(Shannon) Daniel, Randy(Kathy)Daniel both of Eatonton. He is also survived by his 2 brothers Tommy(Wanda) Daniels of Cochran and Lamar Daniels of Macon, and a sister Sue(Bobby) Sanders of Cochran, as well as, his grandchildren Kyle Daniel, Rachel(Cliff) Boone, Dawson Daniel, Joshua(Lucy) Daniel, Jeremy(Grace) Daniel, David Daniel, Dylan Daniel, Nicholas Daniel Jonathan Daniel and Jayden Daniel. He also has 4 great grandchildren Hayden Daniel, Baylor Boone, Ella Daniel and Sawyer Daniel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to st. Jude Childrens Hospital. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel has charge of arrangements.
