Obituary for James Arthur Keeton
James A. Keeton 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. James was born in Collinwood, TN on August 12, 1922 to the late Elmer and Edna Nelson Keeton. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera Stayner Keeton, sons Harold Glenn Keeton, Alvin Clay Keeton and Danny Michael Keeton, brothers Clifford, Elmer, Alford Keeton, sisters Estella May, Ester Lee Keeton, step son Richard Weatherholtz. James has lived in Putnam county for the past 2 years having moved here from Lakeland, FL and enjoyed fishing and gardening. James is survived by his sons Charles Keeton & wife Hannah of Eatonton, James Ellis Keeton & wife Tammy of FL, Earl Thomas Keeton & wife Bernice of FL, daughter Dorothy Jean Williams of AL, stepchildren Robert Weatherholtz, Sharon Pettrey, Susan Serviss, sister Mary Jo Keeton Jones of IN, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.. The visitation will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home, 104 Hill Street, Waynesboro, TN 38485, the service will follow at 11 AM, burial will be at the McGee Cemetery, Sweetwater Road, Waynesboro, TN following the service.
