Obituary for Jack Clifford Logan
Jack Logan, 78, passed away on March 26, 2017 at his home in Eatonton. Jack was born in Ellijay, Ga. on May 22, 1938 to the late Horace & Fair Logan. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andy Logan.
He worked with Georgia Power from day of high school graduation until retiring in June of 1994, after 38 years. After retiring he worked with Flower-Flemister Concrete and Horton Homes. Jack loved bluegrass music and played in the Center Stage Bluegrass & Oconee River Bags Bluegrass bands. He was known for playing the upright bass with one finger, his thumb. Jack also trained Belguim/Clydesdales horses. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 to 7 PM.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Amelia Logan, son Jim (Jeannie) Logan of Elizabeth, KY, daughters Tina (Randy) Mason of Eatonton, Shawnee (Adam) Mangual of Eatonton, brother James Pete Logan of Lafoditte, TN., grandchildren Arriana & Danielle Mangual of Eatonton McKenzie (Brandon) Cardwell, of Eatonton, Brett (Carissa) Mason of Gray, Gannon (Claire) Mason, of Duluth, GA, Ally Jones of Elizabethtown, KY., nephews Bill Logan of Greensboro, NC and Wade Logan of London, England.
