Obituary for Hugh J Morris
Hugh J. Morris 93 of Greensboro and formerly of Centerville, Ga. passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Hugh was born in Ashland, Alabama to the late Lewis T. Morris and the late Myrtle Roberson Morris on October 1, 1920. Hugh served in the United States Navy during World War II. He moved to Greensboro from Centerville where he was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro, also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and was a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Antique Car Club of Middle Georgia.
Graveside Services and Interment will be at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Ga. on Tuesday, March 25th at 12 PM.
He is survived by his daughter Lillie Crowe & husband Don of Greensboro, grandchildren Brett A. Crowe (Amy) of Greensboro, Mindy McWilliams of League City, TX, great grandchildren Hunter McWilliams, Phoenix Crowe, Heather McWilliams, Dakota Crowe, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations to the Mary Willis Library, 204 East Liberty Street, Washington, GA 30673.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
