Obituary for Herschel Alan Carnes
Herschel Carnes 60, of Eatonton passed away on Sunday, December 02, 2017 at Navicent Medical Center, Macon, GA. Herschel was born on January 31, 1957 at Shaw Air Force base, S.C. to the late Ebb Carnes Jr. and Dorothy “Dot” Epps. He was preceded in death by his parents. The visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 5 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 6 PM. Herschel worked at Gro Tec for over 12 years as a forklift operator, and enjoyed spending his spare time with family and friends. Herschel is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Mary Elliott Carnes, stepchildren Missy Hill of Conyers, Larry Etheridge of Buckhead, sisters Mona (Jody) Franklin of Ruthledge, Cissy (Danielle) AmRhein of Bethlehem, brothers Rocky (Anita) Epps of Canton, CeCe (Krystal) Epps of Eatonton, 4 nieces, 5 nephews, cousins and other family members as well as many friends. The family will be accepting friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the home of CeCe & Krystal Epps, 122 Roy Jones Road, Eatonton, GA.
