Obituary for Helen Joyce Kennedy
Helen Joyce Kennedy 83 of Eatonton passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Helen was born in Monroe, Georgia on April 11, 1931 to the late John Robert Coker and Mary Thompson Coker. Helen was the previous owner of the Crooked Creek Fishing Camp on Lake Sinclair. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas William Kennedy. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 11 AM to 1 PM followed by a service at 1 PM. The burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, Georgia after the service. Helen is survived by her son Tom Kennedy & wife Jan of Eatonton, daughters Karen & husband Robert Patterson of Atlanta, Robin Love of Milledgeville, brother Gene & wife Mary Ann Coker of Campton, Ga., Robert & Sylvia Coker of Campton, Ga., and sister Pat & husband AJ Waldrop of Loganville, Ga. ,grandchildren Daniel Kennedy of Eatonton, Jana & husband Chris Threadwell of Covington, Tyler Patterson of Atlanta, Carlyn & husband Jay Jones of Warner Robins, great grandchildren Makayla Jones and Alyssa Jones of Warner Robins. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Helen’s memory can be made to Egleston Children’s Hospital at Emory University, 101 Ponce De Leon Avenue NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30308 or St Jude’s 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road #A, Atlanta, Ga. 30328
