Gerald Lee Alvey, 82, passed away on March 9, 2019 in Bibb County. He was born in Connersville, Ind., on April 19, 1936, to the late Wallace and Garnet Cherry Alvey. He served in the United States Army, after service he worked as a mechanic for the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a minister. He enjoyed singing but most importantly he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Jim Alvey and his daughter Tabitha Alvey.
The visitation will be at Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11 AM followed by a service at 12 Noon.
The burial will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday,
March 13, 2019 at 2:30PM.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32yrs., Evelyn Alvey of Eatonton, his children Mark (Paula) Alvey, Tamera (David) Hawkins, Pam Alvey, Angel Alvey, Steve Brown, Cathy Butler, Scott Brown and Jerrit Brown, his sister Joan(Al) Drake, as well as, 19 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
