Obituary for Garland Mashburn
Garland Mashburn 84, of Eatonton passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at his residence. Garland was born in Unaka, North Carolina on June 5, 1931 to the late James Rufus Mashburn and Birdie Davis Mashburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Meadows Mashburn, daughter Alicia Mashburn, son Emerson (Bo) Mashburn and brothers and sisters. Garland was a member and Deacon at Lone Oak Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his loving family and grandchildren. The visitation will be at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM. The service will be on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will follow the service at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his children Steve Mashburn & wife Marsha, Melinda Lamb, Christine Batchelor, Joan Sizemore and Marcie Newton. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
