Freeda Russell Karwisch of Eatonton, Georgia passed away on November 22, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Alabama to the late Harvey and Clara Langston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost 50 years, Earl Russell; brother, John Langston; brother-in-law, Alan Jenkins; and husband, Henry Karwisch. Freeda is survived by her sister Linda Jenkins of Vernon, Alabama; sister-in-law, Sandra Hawkins of Between, Georgia; her two sons David Russell (Pam) and Jeff Russell (Gwen) both of Eatonton, Georgia; her daughter Pam Blount (Jim) of McDonough, Georgia; grandchildren Michael Russell (Ladonna), Leighann Nash (Alan), Dave Russell (Elizabeth), Paige Fouke (Harry), Amber Russell, Aaron Russell (Ingrid), Brad Blount (Anna), Kara Mitchell (Danny), Caleb Russell, Melanie Brown (Chaz), and Nolan Russell; great-grandchildren Blake Russell, Cody Russell, Owen Mitchell, Adalyn Blount, Lucia Blount, Phoebe Fouke, and Lennox Russell; daughter-in-love Alice Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
Freeda was a loving wife, mother, nana, great-nana, sister, and friend. She cared deeply for the Lord, her family, and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Savannah Court of Milledgeville for taking such great care of and loving Nana.
A service honoring the life of Mrs. Freeda Russell Karwisch will occur at Christ our King and Savior Catholic Church on Friday, December 15th at 11:00 in Greensboro, Georgia. This will be followed by a graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, Georgia on Saturday, December 16th at 11:00 am.
