Obituary for Frances Griffith
Frances Griffith 86 of Eatonton passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Frances was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on June 11, 1928 to the late Walter George Troutman and the late Addie Jane Leazer Troutman. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jackson Griffith. Frances started her career at The Peoples Bank on August 12, 1968 as a teller and after loyal faithful and dedicated service became Vice President of operations. She was the music and choir director for over 37 years at First United Methodist Church where she was a member, was also a member of the Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge Rising Star #4, Robinson Dance Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women Night Circle, Golden Girls and the Pilot Club. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 to 7 PM. The service will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at First United Methodist Church Great Hall at 2 PM and the Interment will follow at Eatonton Memorial Park. Frances is survived by her sons; Chuck Griffith & wife Arline of Carrollton, Ga., Ken Griffith & wife Jill of Cumming, Ga., and Steve Griffith & wife Faye. Brother; Wayne Troutman of Knoxville, TN, Grand children; Merrie Martin & husband J.D., Jason Jones & wife Molly, Alison Lyle & husband Wayne, Brian Jones & wife Tiffany, Katie Kilgore & husband Micah, Janie Jackson, Austin Griffith, Ashley Griffith. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
