GRIEF & HEALING

Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of Dorothy "Dot". This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
"Aunt Dot,” as she was known to many, dedicated her life to her family, friends and community. She gave tirelessly of herself, her time and her talents to ensure that she left the world a better place. She required so little in life and yet, gave so much. Aunt Dot was a dedicated wife to her husband of almost 30 years, Benjamin (Bennie) Channel Lundy; a dedicated daughter to Sydney Terrell (Billie) and Mattie Rebecca Linch Carnes; a loving bonus-mother to Linda Lundy Copelan; a fun and loving sister to her five siblings, Carlton Carnes, Lynwood Carnes, Florence Carnes Embry, Irene Carnes Holt, and Frances Carnes Allen. Aunt Dot retired from Georgia Power in April 1989 with 28 years of service. Dot devoted her life to her family and was so proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She has left a huge hole in our hearts and valued impression on our lives.
Survivors Include: Daughter, Linda Lundy Copelan (Tommy) of Eatonton, GA; Grandson, Rusty Copelan (Libby) of Eatonton, GA; Grandson, Dean Copelan (Ashley) Macon, GA.; Granddaughter, Ashley Copelan, Eatonton, GA.; Great Grandson, Cody Copelan (Macy) and son, Brooks, Eatonton, GA.; Great Granddaughter Kacee Copelan Andrews (Chris) and daughters, Remy and Blair, Atlanta, GA.; Great Granddaughter, Elizabeth Watson (Robby) and son Will, Macon, GA; Great Grandson, Chan Copelan, Jacksonville, FL., Sister, Irene Carnes Holt, Eatonton, GA; and many nieces nephews, cousins, and extended family.
