Obituary for Donna Maria Glass
Donna Maria Glass, 71 years of age, passed away on Thursday September 9, 2021 in Macon, Georgia .Donna was born in August 1950 in Juneau, Alaska to the late Clois Strickland, and the still living Wanda Strickland. She was the oldest of 3 children. Her brothers Miles and Stanley Strickland still live in their family home town of Waycross, Georgia. Donna is survived by her husband Samuel Lee Glass, her sons and their wives whom she loved like daughters; Edward Glass, Jonathan & Elizabeth Glass, and Benjamin &Brandi Glass. And her 8 grandchildren whom she adored: Sarah McKenzie Glass, Brittney English, Matthew Glass, Benjamin Noah Glass, Tyler English, Nathan Glass, Taylor Glass, Briella Glass, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donna fell in love with and married Samuel Lee Glass of Macon, Georgia in July 1977 and together raised three boys, Edward Glass, Jonathan Glass, and Benjamin Glass, while moving about the United States in support of Lee’s military career. She made friends from strangers and left long-lasting friendships all over the country. Donna professed her life to Christ at an early age. The family moved to Eatonton, Georgia in 2004 and she joined Manley Memorial Church, now Lake Country Baptist. She loved working with the youth in the church and cherished praising the Lord in the choir. She always enjoyed helping others. Donna loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first, and always just a phone call away. “To know her was to love her.”
