Obituary for Darrell Wilson Haws Jr.
Darrell Wilson Haws Jr. 78 of Eatonton passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Johnson City, TN on January 14, 1939 to the late Darrell Wilson Haws Sr. and Billie Jo Shepherd Haws. Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. The visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Eatonton on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Joan Adcock Haws, daughters Linda Elizabeth Brantley (Rusty) and Jamie Lee Kelly (Brian Lee), brother Brad Haws (Sadie), sister Janice Howard, grandchildren Leah Elizabeth Sassman (Brian), Peyton Rose Brantley, Walker Haws Brantley, Brandon Lee Kelly, Madison Leanne Kelly, great grandchildren Kyle Sassman, Gabe Sassman. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to First Baptist Church, Eatonton, Ga. 31014.
The Broken Chain; We little knew that morning, that God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
