Obituary for Christine ` Davis
Funeral services for Christine W. Davis, 94, will be conducted on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Eatonton at 1 PM. There will be a visitation with the family one hour prior to the service time. Rev. Keithen Tucker and Dr. Van Nesbit will conduct the service and burial will follow at Eatonton Memorial Park. She was a native of Baldwin County and made her home in Eatonton for most of her life. She was the daughter of William Seaborn Wood and Anna Lundy Wood. She retired from the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Eatonton as assistant cashier after a career that covered 29 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Eatonton where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed her membership in M & M’s until her health prohibited her participation. She was preceded in death by her husband John Davis, her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Stan (Jeanne) Davis of Watkinsville, daughter, Lynn (M.L.) Hall of Cordele, grandchildren, Lee (Rebecca) Hall and Ben Hall all of Cordele, Jana (Nathan) Hester and Eric Davis (Nikki Grant) all of Watkinsville, great grandsons Wilder & Woods Hall, great granddaughters Julie and Allie Hester and several nieces and nephews. For those who wish, memorial contribution’s may be made to the First Baptist Church of Eatonton. A special thanks is given to the Harbor Assisted Living Facility and to Agape Residential Hospice for the love, kindness & care they provided over the past 2 years and her final days.
