Obituary for Charles William Elder SR.
Charles Elder Sr. 73 of Eatonton passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 in an Athens hospital. Charles was born in Madison, GA on December 12, 1942, to the late William David and the late Estelle Leachman Elder. Mr. Elder had served in the Army National Guard and was retired from Haband, he was a member of The Georgia/Florida Cattleman’s Association, The American International Charolais Association.
The visitation will be held at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2pm. and a service follow at 3pm. The burial will be at Eatonton Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife Ruby Elder of Eatonton. His son Charles (Billy) William Elder Jr. and wife Elaine, 3 grandchildren Jordan, Jake and Austin Elder, 3 step grandchildren Hunter, Sawyer and Hollyann Calhoun all of Cartersville, Ga. He has 2 sisters Faye Vandiver (Marion), and Linda Dunn of Eatonton.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations can be made to the church of the donor's choice.
