Charles VanCleve 85, passed away at his residence in Buckhead, GA on March 31, 2020. Charles was born in Estill, KY on December 25, 1934 to the late Charles Noah VanCleve and Catherine Banta VanCleve.
He was married to JoAnne Hornsby VanCleve for 54 years, she was his great accomplishment and preceded him in death in 2015. Charles served in the United States Army, and worked in the construction industry most of his life. Charles loved to read and traded books out weekly for many years at The Medicine Shoppe. He loved to watch Jeopardy and knew more answers than the players half the time. He enjoyed going for breakfast and coffee at Sugar Creek Marina where he and a handful of fellas talked about life and told old stories. Charles was deeply loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
No service is planned at the present time.
Charles is survived by his son Paul VanCleve and wife Vicky, 2 daughters Kim Dyer & husband Gabe, and Brenda Hammett, grandchildren Christy VanCleve(Kevin Neese) and Katie VanCleve, 2 great grandchildren Abbiegail Neese, Paisley Neese.
