Carolyn “Anita” Martin 50, of Eatonton, Ga passed away on September 13, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Martin was born on November 10, 1965 to late William and Willene Smith Batty. She was a homemaker and mother to 6 children. She was a member of Lake Country Baptist church and enjoyed collecting knick-knacks and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elaine Thomas, brothers Joe, Jimmy Batty. The visitation will be at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. The service will be at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Carlisle Driggers, burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Anita is survived by her husband of 30 years Gary Martin, children Gary “Michael” Martin Jr., William “Josh” Martin both of Eatonton, Ga, Matthew Martin of Palmetto, Ga, Carolyn Martin (Dustin Lastinger) of Eatonton, Brandon Martin of Eatonton, Cassandra “Cassie” Martin of Bristol TN, brothers Louis Batty (Debra) of Eatonton, Doug Batty (Lynn) of Milledgeville, Bob Batty of Eatonton and grandchildren Layla Bean, Elianna Bean both of Bristol, TN, Savannah Haney, Trinity Martin, Sydney Luke and Sophia Luke all of Eatonton. The family has requested that donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
