Obituary for Bobby Roger Callaway
On Friday, February 4, 2022, Bobby Callaway passed away at home at the age of 78. Bobby was born June 26, 1943 in Jasper County. He served in the Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked at Enterprise Aluminum Company until its closure. He retired from Georgia Pacific. Bobby was a member of Lake Country Baptist Church where he loved to serve our lord Jesus Christ. Bobby had a passion for football. He was a major Georgia fan and was ecstatic when they won the National Championship. He enjoyed sitting in his rocking chair on the porch watching and listen to nature. The visitation will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 to 7 PM. The service will be on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Lake Country Baptist Church at 11 AM burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Dale. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, William Callaway, his mother, Zella Mae Smallwood Callaway and daughter Elizabeth Harrison. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Trina Callaway, daughter, Michelle Vickery and son, Ralf Callaway. He also is survived by his three grandchildren, Amanda Fowler, Colby Wilmoth and Bethanee Vickery.
