Obituary for Billy Woodrow Tucker
Billy Woodrow Tucker Jr., age 83, of Eatonton, GA passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Green Acres Health & Rehabilitation in Hardwick, GA. Billy was born in Macon, GA on July 1, 1938 to the late Billy Woodrow Tucker Sr. and Peggie Gibson Tucker. He graduated from Lanier High School and was hired shortly thereafter by the Southern Bell Telephone Company. Working his way up through the ranks, he was assigned as supervisor for the district including Putnam County in 1970 where he completed 30 years of service. He retired from ATT in 1986 and remained a resident of Eatonton at Lake Sinclair until his death.
Billy leaves behind his daughter, Lisa T. Charles and her husband Chris of Comer, GA; son, Kevin A. Tucker of Athens, GA; son, Kenneth D. Tucker and his wife, Laurel, of Milledgeville, GA; brother, C. Allen Tucker, and wife, Linda, of Isle of Palms, SC; Step Daughters, Barbara Hill and Teresa Hardie, four grandchildren, Katherine, Kevin, Anna Grace, and Aden; four great grandchildren, Claire, Jake, George, and Andrew; and many other relatives and close friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.
