Obituary for Billy Edward Burgamy
Billy Edward Burgamy 70 of Eatonton passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from injuries sustained in a logging truck accident. Mr. Burgamy was born in Eastman, Georgia on October 17, 1943 to the late Harry Edward Burgamy and the late Susie Mae Law Burgamy. He was the owner of Burgamy Logging INC, and BEB Trucking. Mr. Burgamy moved his family from Jones County to Putnam County in 1986. Mr. Burgamy was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Dorothy B. Goolsby, and brother George A. Sheffield Jr. Ret, CMDR Unites States Navy, and a grandchild Christian Brown. He was a member of the Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church and The Georgia Men’s Bowling Association. He enjoyed dirt track racing. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 6 to 8 PM. Services will be on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 3 PM, interment will be at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray, following the service. Pallbearers are Toby Turner, Johnny Todd, Brad Comer, Robert Yates, Darrell Dunn, Eddie Burdashaw. Honorary Pallbearers are Russell Curry, Arnold Gail Morgan, Jimmy Goodsby, Melvin Coulter, Dallas Clark, Roger Kent and Dr. William H. Rhodes Jr. Mr. Burgamy is survived his wife of 48 years Martha Willis Burgamy, Sons: Michael Burgamy Wills and Brian Burgamy of Eatonton, Ricky Burgamy (Brandy) Richard Harry Burgamy Jr.(Robin) and Clay Brown (Kristi) of Gray, Sister: Mary Turner of Gray, Grandchildren: Ashley Burgamy, Jordan Burgamy, R J Burgamy, Tyler Hess-Smith, Amber Brantley, Lindsey Willis, Jonathan Willis, Lance Willis, and Nealy Willis. Great Grandchildren: Macy Burgamy, Lexi Burgamy, Logan Willis Levi Willis Aubrianna Willis Brett Brantley, Taylor Abney, Dillon Abney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him.
