Obituary for Bettye Watson
Bettye Louisa Watson 82 of Eatonton passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Bettye was born on January 5, 1931 to the late Horace and Margaret Ballenger. In addition to her Parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Watson and 2 brothers W. A. and Reford Ballenger. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Lake Country Baptist Church from 1 PM to 3 PM followed by the service at 3 PM officiated by Dr. Carlisle Driggers and Dr. Harry Michael. Interment will be at Greenview Cemetery, Greensboro, Ga. following the service. Survivors include her son Greg Watson & wife Katy, brother Rev. Milford Ballenger & wife Joyce of Carrolton, Ga., Sister Marlene Smith & husband Hardy of Macon. Also sisters-in-law Nell & husband Lawson Short of Cedartown, Ga., Nancy & husband John Lee of Good Hope, Ga., and brother-in-law Jerry Watson & wife Barbara of Williamson, Ga. Grandchildren: Nycole Jarrette of Douglasville, Ga., Josh newborn of Douglasville, Ga. Great Grand Children: Owen Jarrett, Molly Newborn both of Douglasville, Ga. Pallbearers are Clark DeLoach, Willie Jones, Shannon Long, Tim Camp, Earnest Turk and Lon Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are The Deacons of Lake Country Baptist Church, Phil Harvey, Jeffrey Knowles & Roy Embry. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lake Country Baptist Church, Eatonton or to Hospice Care Options, Milledgeville, Ga. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
