Obituary for Barbara 'Babs' Barnes
Barbara ‘Babs’ Barnes 63, of Eatonton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14th. Barbara was born in Fairborn, Ohio on October 14, 1950 to the late William Barnes and the late Oakie Taylor Barnes. Barbara worked for the Waffle House Corporation here in Georgia in various towns for the last 15 years. She was currently working at the Waffle House located at Harmony Crossing in Eatonton. Although Barbara resided in Georgia for the last 15 years, her heart was always in Colorado. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, she also loved animals and the Georgia Bulldogs. The visitation will be on Friday, September 19th at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 7 to 9 PM, the service will be on Saturday, September 20th at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 3 PM. Barbara is survived by her son Carl Thornton & wife Carmen of Henderson, NV., Sisters Carol Pumadera, Cynthia Cole & husband David, Brother Tommy Barnes & wife Shirley all of Georgia. Also survived by her nieces Lisa, Anita & Tamela Cole, Tonya Barnes, nephews Tim Cole, John and Dwayne Durham, Cordero Pumadera great nieces and nephews Cindy, Nikki, Joey, Chris, Jamie, Logan and Sherry.
